She may be feeling fit and healthy, but Rebel Wilson has also discovered an “interesting” byproduct of her weight loss journey: how people treat her.
But the Pitch Perfect star has come to an unfortunate realisation since then; that people treat her differently now that she’s slim.
Speaking with 2Day FM’s new breakfast radio show Hughesy, Ed and Erin, host Erin Molan asked Wilson how things have changed in the past 12 months.
“It’s interesting Erin, I like to think I looked good at all sizes and I’ve always been confident,” Wilson began.

“It’s not like I wasn’t confident and now I’m confident. What’s been really interesting to me is how other people treat you. Sometimes being bigger, people didn’t look twice at you and now that I’m in good shape people offer to carry my groceries to the car and open doors for you. Is this what other people have experienced all the time?”
The Bridesmaids actor has previously said that being ‘skinny’ was never the goal, but rather it was an overhaul of her overall health.
“The goal was never to be skinny,” she said in an Instagram live back in December.
“It was never to fit into a certain dress size. I put in a goal weight in there because I needed some tangible thing… I think it was time. What I’m proud of myself is doing that and having a lot more balance now in my life.”
